Tiki Wonderland 5 art show at Tonga Hut 12.03.11

Saturday, December 3rd. Tonga Hut‘s annual tiki Christmas show. Time for holiday cheer with lots of great holiday tiki wares, tiki music and tiki drinks! This is the biggest Wonderland yet, with musical guests the Glasgow Tiki Shakers! Doors open at 4pm.

Merry Krampus, Promenade Gallery, Anaheim, CA 11.12.11 – 12.03.11

Krampus, Santa’s devilish assistant, is the subject of Merry Krampus, a group show featuring art by MP, Big Toe, Ken Ruzic, Doug Horne, Sam Gambino, John Mulder and more!

Forbidden Island Parking Lot Sale, Alameda CA 09.25.11

Forbidden Island hosts Northern California’s biggest tiki event, on the exotic island of Alameda. Sunday, 09.26.11.

Tiki Oasis 11, San Diego, CA 08.18 – 22.11

The world’s largest tiki event, Tiki Oasis, celebrates the South of the Border influence on Exotica and other Mid-Century touchstones for Tiki Culture Thursday, August 18 through Sunday, August 22. I’ll be debuting some new pieces, including my most ambitious ceramic work to date!

Tiki Night at the Egyptian Theatre 07.16.11

Saturday, July 16th. American Cinematheque’s annual Luau Nights screens Bird of Paradise, at the historic Egyptian Theatre at 6712 Hollywood Blvd. Lots of fun on hand, King Kukulele performs, along with the Polynesian Paradise Dancers. I’ll be vending, along with tiki tOny, Big Mike and more! Film screens at 7:30.

Moai Madness art show at Tonga Hut 07.09.11

Saturday, July 9th. Tonga Hut in North Hollywood hosts an art show celebrating everybody’s favorite giant stone heads! I’ll be debuting some brand new ceramic bowls! Tiki music provided by DJ Marty Lush and tiki drinks by Kelly “Hiphipahula” Reilly! Doors open at 4pm. Then, the show goes on line on Tiki Central on July 11th.

Scootiki: Mods & Gods, Elroy Artspace, Portland, OR. 07.07-09.07.11

A group exhibition featuring the original art of over FORTY contemporary artists, presenting works inspired by the TIKI and vintage Lambretta sub-cultures by the New Brow… Opening reception Thursday, July 7th, 5-9pm at Elroy Artspace 300 SW 6th Ave. Portland, OR 97210

Tiki Caliente III, Palm Springs, CA. 05.20-22.11

Friday, May 20th through Sunday, May 22nd. Tiki Caliente III is an intimate weekend of tiki fun in Palm Springs. I’ll be vending, with lots of new tiki wares, including new mugs!

Tiki Magazine release party at Bahooka, Rosemead, CA. 04.10.11

Sunday, April 10th. Tiki Magazine‘s latest issue gets an appropriate kick off amongst the overgrown tiki splendor of Bahooka restaurant in Rosemead, Ca. Tiki music provided by DJ Big Tiki Dude and the Hula Girls! Tiki vendors… including me! I’ll have more tiki mugs debuting here!

Headhunters & Collectors, Promenade Gallery, Anaheim, CA. 04.09.11

Saturday, March 9th. Artists’ reception for Promenade Gallery, 203 Center Street Promenade, Downtown Anaheim. Gallery De La Cruz Presents a group art show of a diminutive nature- shrunken heads and other oddities. Show runs until 04.30. Sponsored by Rothick Art Haus and Downtown Anaheim Association.

Sunday, March 27th. Tonga Hut in North Hollywood hosts an art show devoted to everyone’s favorite iconic vintage tiki… TIKI BOB! I’ll be debuting some brand new ceramic mugs! Tiki music provided by DJ Marty Lush and tiki drinks by Kelly “Hiphipahula” Reilly! Doors open at 4pm. Then, the show goes on line on Tiki Central on March 28th.

Tikiyaki Orchestra 3 Hour Tour & The Art of Gilligan’s Island 11.20-21.10

Saturday, November 20th and Sunday, November 21st. Join the Tikiyaki Orchestra Saturday night at the Mayflower Club in North Hollywood, California on an musical 3 hour tour! Exotic wares available at the Island Trading Post (I’ll be vending!) Doors open at 6pm!

Then, on Sunday, the 21st, see the Art of Gilligan’s Island Show at Tonga Hut (art work inspired by the TV classic!). Doors open at 4pm.
